The LA Auto Show starts tomorrow through Thanksgiving weekend. From looking at the previews, there’s nothing jaw-dropping that makes me want to stop everything and go see the show. I guess it goes with the harsh economy, and the struggle the automakers are going through at the moment. Despite all this, here’s the most interesting/cool cars that I could find searching through all the previews.
The first one is actually the Honda Insight. Looks to me like Honda is jumping on the Prius bandwagon as well. The second one is actually a Natural Gas - Hybrid Camry. Natural gas vehicles have been around for so long, yet they’ve always been geared more towards government fleets and such. It’ll be interesting to see if Toyota actually makes these vehicles more available to people like Joe the Plumber. Then we might even see some natural gas kits to install in our houses. I could definitely go without the 4$ a gallon trips to Chevron.
Then there’s the Z and the Cayman. They’re still cool cars, but they just look a bit too similar to the old models. The rest of them are various sports cars which are either making their day-view, or still in the concept phase. Of course I’d still drive all of them, but they just don’t have that “it-factor” that makes me want to buy them.

Wow, I wonder what it feels like to drive a car like that. I wonder if I’ll ever know. Somehow a minivan does not lend such a thrill, but hey, it’s what’s there.

I’d like them to build a car that runs only on AA batteries. I just bought a whole bunch from Costco and I have no idea what I’m going to do with all of them….
The car shows aren’t what they used to be :(. No need to look at those expensive gas guzzlers. I’m actually in the market for a new car….ok, maybe in a year or 2. I need the auto industry to be better, I need the economy to me better.
But the problem is that nothing jumps out at me anymore. I used to be able to run off a list of cars I wanted. Now, I can’t name one that stands out. I currently have an ‘03 Dodge Stratus coupe R/T, her name is “Trish Stratus”. Yes, I believe in naming my cars. And I originally leased the car and then decided to buy. But I think I need a car that’s better for the environment. At the moment, no car just jumps out at me. So I’ll play the waiting game and see what the next year or 2 brings the auto industry…. While their execs fly in their private jets to congress to ask for money because they’re so broke!
Y’ know what, you’ve inspired me Nicky. Tommorrow, I’m gonna sell my car, and get me a horse.

Well, I’ll tell you why…ZERO dependence on foreign oil, ZERO carbon emissions, and of course, the most important reason of all……
Chicks DIG guys with HORSES…it’s almost as good as…EVEN BETTER….than walking around with little puppies dogs!!! And of course, everyone knows that horses are A LOT more practical than puppy dogs!!! (ever tried putting your weight on a puppy?…tsk tsk tsk…poor little poochie was in a cast for 6 months…tsk tsk tsk…)
Now, all I need to do is get some good grazing land…that’s gonna be kind of tough….(I wonder if my neighbors need their lawns mowed….and I wonder if a horse qualifies me for the car pool lane?)

TONY TONY TONY when was the last time you owned a horse? Obviously never and as for the chicks digging guys with horses it usually is requires been able to ride confidently. My mother owns a horse and her boyfriend is a very respected studmaster in the state I live in and believe me owning/maintaining a horse is very costly. I suggest you just stick to trying to keep a woman happy and you will better off. Oh and for those whom don’t understand the terminology a studmaster is a horse breeder.

Hm….maybe you’re right…I guess a horse can be a little pricey…maybe I can split the cost with my roommate….I get to ride it during the day, and he can get it during the night…we can do 50/50.
Hm…and what about insurance? How much coverage should I get? Should I get one way or two way? Just how much damage could a horse do to another car anyway?
