Youtube Delivering Hollywood

I don’t know if any of you have seen the Youtube Screening Room, but they’ve just started showing their first feature length film on the site. The quality definitely better than other youtube videos, but it’s still a little lacking if you watch it in the full screen mode. Apparently, they release four new films every two weeks. Hopefully they’ll keep the old ones up as well to build up a nice little library of films to watch. It may just be a coincidence, but the first set of films all seem to have an Asian theme to them. The feature that they are showing is “The Princess of Nebraska” (directed by Wayne Wang). The other three shorts that they’re screening are The Chestnut Tree (South Korea), Scab (Japan), and The Tired City (Hong Kong). I haven’t had the time to watch any of them, but maybe some of you can chime in with some reviews on them.

I seen the films.

I didn’t like The Tired City. It was kind of weird to me. Thats just how I feel.

The Chestnut Tree was cute. I like it. Mother and child. It shows what a mother would do to make sure to keep that smile on their childs face and all because of a little chestnut.

Scab was funny. I like it. That poor little boy. How that Scab just drove him crazy. How happy he was when he got the scab that was driving him crazy. He made sure to get the scab and run with. The little boy was so proud that he got that scab. Like it was something he won. It was funny

The Princess of Nebraska. I like it to. It showed the different feeling that women go throw when they are pregnant. The changes that you feel and some women are scared when they are pregnant for the first time. The white man with the glasses she should of hit him, That is not how you talk to a women and at the dinner how all his friends were making fun of her. But I like how she stood up for her self. Also she look lost in the world and was not sure what to do. This is not a film for Sarah Palin. The one that wants to take women rights away. But the film shows a chioce that she has to make and find her way with help of her friends around her. For her own good and her unborn childs.

This is sort of off topic. Sung I heard a rumor you are going to be in “Ninja Assassin” along with another Korean actor, Jeong Ji Hoon (better known here in the US as Rain). I am really looking forward to seeing two of my favorite Korean actors on screen together. Also looking forward to seeing the “prequel” to “The Fast and the Furious”. Best wishes and keep up the good work. I really enjoy your blogs.

Jees Paulrock why don’t you tell the whole story and spoil it for everyone . I’d rather view it myself but I’ve barely had the time. Mind you I suppose I haven’t read all of your blog so it doesn’t matter. Yes Catherine is tied, so much work, study out the window and my sleep with it. I think the new Utube thing sounds great and I love the fact that they have started with asian films, I so luv asian films. I recently got hold of Ang Lee’s “Lust,Caution” It’s like WOW and I’m not going to spoil it by telling everyone the WHOLE story. Oh and your suppose to be 18 to watch it because it’s really naughty in parts. Hey Sung why do I have to wait for ages and ages for Fast & the furious 4 to come out here in OZ it’s so not fair that we get movies months after the US.
