Here’s an article I stumbled upon talking about what movie characters that you shouldn’t dress up as today. It might be a little late as most people should’ve gotten their costumes by now, but I’ll post it anyways. The top two really do make sense to me. Number two is Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder. As funny as he was in the movie, it just sounds like a recipe for trouble.

The number one character is the Joker (Heath Ledger) from the Dark Knight. I’m on the border with this one. On the positive side, your paying tribute to an amazing actor.

At the same time, nobody can pull it off like him, and this is likely going to be the most common costumes for guys. They did have a good suggestion though. If you really have to be Joker this halloween, you better go all out, and be Nurse Joker.

i tried to get my hair green once. it didnt work and my mother was pretty happy about it.
in the whole movie i thought he was darker as a nurse. it was unexpected. so fragil and almost delicate.. but there he was doing his crazy things.
the joker character will never be the same after him..
yes… it’s a little too late. there were countless guys playing joker…. it’s really boring to see them in that repeated costume. ugh…
I definitely agree…no Robert Downey Jr. a la Tropic Thunder. Mad at myself for being a homebody tonight, but still got to dress up in my goth gown & hand out candy to kiddies, so not a total loss
I’ve always loved to dress up and hit the clubs on Halloween… and of course to hand out the candy. My dogs liked it too… they especially liked the kids all dressed up… I think they found it all very curious. They were two almost entirely black, large German Shepherds, very sweet dogs, and they just loved to get a close up look at all the children… not a whole lot of the children liked it too much though… most of them “trick or treated” from the end of the driveway and their parents came up and got the candy… almost all of the parents thought it was really funny… luckily. We usually had a lot of candy left over. AHA!
It was largely unintentional… try opening the door to company with 2 German Shepherds in the house… you ain’t doing anything without them.
Happy Halloween, Sung and company! =)
Sung, I bet you just looooove Halloween. I remember that funny story about the teenage girl dressing you up, and the makeup
In OUR neighborhood, someone hooked up a little trailer to a riding mower, put hay bales on it, and rode dressed as a zombie with a chainsaw. Hilarious. I called Jeremy (who was home passing out candy) and said, “Only in our neighborhood!” Later, the wife said they were giving rides to people whose little ones had gotten too tired. Awww. BTW our older son was a police SWAT team member, and the little one was his “prisoner.”
I love halloween. eVEN WHEN i TAKE MY SON TRICK OR TREATING. FREE CANDY
Now let’s see that “werewolf” costume… lol
I wish they did trick or treating here in my town but people are probably too scaried something will happen to them. When I was little and lived in a different state they used to really get into it. I’d love to dress up as Mina Murray in that awesome red dress from Dracula. I can’t help myself I love the goth romantic vampire theme.
I loved Tropic Thunder, but no one should ever try to pull of a black face costume. The Joker is another good one that I feel was over done this year. I’ve seen so many Joker pictures on Myspace. And not to mention 3 characters on The Office dressed as him.
Classic! : )
I think that “Simple Jack” should be number one. If you’ve seen Tropic Thunder, then you know what I’m talking about. And I’m sure there were probably some teenagers who might think that it’s funny.
seriously, i wanna see these guys in the nurse joker outfits, that would be amazing and good God awful at the same time… it’s what halloween is all about… too bad it’s over now…
