Well done Mr. Yimou!!!

That was Awesome. If you guys missed the opening ceremony, you definitely have to catch a replay of it. It was out of this world. Zhang Yimou has out done himself this time. Every little segment was simply spectacular in its own unique way. Not only that, but he incorporated so many different universal themes that we all need to think about. My favorite had to be the people defying gravity and walking around the giant ball (last picture).

I loved it too! I did a blog on it at Ningin–posted it right after it ended! Props to you for including so many great pictures. It’s so hard to pick a favorite part, but the Tetris-like “human movable type” was really wonderful. And I was so touched by the young boy walking with Yao Ming….

I saw it despite feeling absolutely knackered from my return flight. I was glad i got to see it. It was absolutely spectacular, stunning and historically out of this world. I dont know how London’s going to top THAT! Cant choose which one is my favorite as every one of them are outstanding!

I was amazed I wasn’t rostered on at work to be able to watch it. There isn’t much more that I can add to Sung’s comments. I loved the flying people in rainbow clothes. I liked the little girl who played the piano. I missed seeing them light the torch, was it cool. It was about 1or 2am over here when I just had to go to bed had to work early next day.

Oh My Goodness, what a spectacular opening. It was so precise and so monumental, I’ll never forget it. I keep looking back at the pictures and relive everything. It was really something to see. The costumes is what really caught my eye, i’ve always loved the Chinese culture.

For some reason I’ve been completely excited about the Olympics, maybe it had something to do with the commerical narrated by Morgan Freeman, from Olympics past(I totally remember the runner who finished last with the help of his dad ), but i couldn’t wait for them to start. That was the best opening ceremony I have ever seen, well done indeed
