Some People Have Too Much Time!!!

I just saw this article on the news about the most complex crop circle ever.complexcrop.jpg
Apparently its some mathematical representation of the first 10 digits of pi (3.141592654). After I read that article…and a few minutes later, its amazing what a simple google images search can do for you. Here’s some other cool ones I found.

ok… pushing past the headache invoked by anyone discussing math or pi (I forgive you if you stop now)… that first one is cool looking… and I kindof like that one that looks like an arcade figure… tres cute.

what I find amazing is considering all of the outlets that people’s various creative tendencies will find… although I think it’s really a shame that such obviously talented people would choose such perishable formats or venues.

Yea one thing WHY?
People take themselfs toooo serious sometimes. Maybe they did it because they were bored, i would do something like that, if i lived in the country. Thats why i am glad I live in Alanta Ga., yea no farm land… Thank God because thats all you’ll see and you be the one who knew that i did it… sorry but true. I get bored easy..

That’s just amazing. I wonder if some were done by a team, and if so, how many people.

Actually, i saw a documentary about crop circles on National Geographic Channel. Apparently, two men can make one with a very complicated pattern in under 5 hours. Crop circles look absolutely breath-taking but they cause a great deal of headache to farmers. haha

oh, that is absolutely amazing! As soon as I saw it I remembered domino contests held every year. People try their best, spend so much time practicing. Breathtaking! (although not as breathtaking as I find drift, hehe)

don’t you mean some aliens s have too much time on their hands???

#9 Teresa Ellis on 06.20.08 at 10:26 am

oh no, here we go… aliens… I was waiting for that. How many people believe aliens visit this planet and leave crop circles?

I don’t want to say that I don’t believe… but is it probable? eh…

as advanced as they would have to be to be able to visit… why us? and why leave messages in crop circles?

M. Night had a good movie, though… great imagination.

Sung? Are you weighing in on this one? =)

Ohh I want to know how to do it. Not that I want to course headaches for some poor farmer. The farmers here in OZ are barely surviving as it is. The circles are very beautiful.

Just think of the sense of proportion they have to have… similar to those guys that paint murals on the sides of large buildings except they can take a few steps back to check their progress…. I suppose if cropcircledudes had a wireless laptop and used a satellite to zoom in, they could check their progress that way. I’ve possibly put too much thought into this… big surprise. =)
