Here’s a cool little website I stumbled upon. I know it’s not my typical orphan non-profit, but they do have a great concept going. For every multiple choice question (english vocabulary) you answer correctly, they’ll donate 20 grains of rice to United Nations World Hunger Program. Now 20 grains of rice isn’t that much, but its creates a great way for any of us to give back, even if we can’t necessarily do so monetarily. I know the internet consumes huge amounts of all our time, so if we all just spend a couple minutes on freerice.com a day, combined we could make a huge difference.

There are also sites where you can just visit and wind up adding to funds to be available for breast cancer and mammograms for needy individuals… might as well do some good…

I take a computer course and whenever we had ‘freetime’ we would go to that site…It is pretty popular… Pretty easy way to donate your time since so many people may stay on the computer for hours. Glad more people are catching on…

Works while you’re on the phone as well… my best friend just kept me on the phone for an entire hour… 2,000 grains. I guess that’s alright.
