Christopher Nolan’s Memento

All these records that “The Dark Knight” is breaking reminded me of one of Christopher Nolan’s earlier movies; Memento. Memento truly was an amazing and unique movie. The plot revolves around Leonard (Guy Pearce) who is avenging his wife’s murder. The problem of amnesia also came during the attack, thus Leonard is forced to find ways to remind himself of everything thats going on. The unique aspect of this movie is Nolan’s method for narrating the story. Two simultaneous stories are told throughout the movie, one going forward and one going backwards chronologically. Its definitely a movie that you need to pay attention to watch, but in doing so, you’ll see that Nolan really does have a gift for storytelling. And now, The Dark Knight simply validates Nolan’s skills.memento.jpg

LOL… movies like that are hell on me with my ADHD factor. I feel like I need to take a pad and pen to take notes… I wind up sitting there with my mouth hanging open and saying “Wait… what just happened?” It isn’t graituitous enjoyment… you have to work for it. =)

I do remember that one and I like both Guy Pearce and Carrie Ann Moss.

I saw this movie a long time ago.. and I remember thinking “whatafuck is happening?”, but I guess that’s the secret for the film.. catch your attention into the story which by the way is very well played.

I was really enchanted by his tattoos when I saw.. I still am. All phrases and numbers. His life in his body.

I’ve seen Momento and thought it was good. Sometimes I think it takes watching a movie more then once to understand and take on it’s meaning. Sometimes watching phsycological stuff is scarier then watching for e.g. “Aliens/ Preditor”. The Butterfly Effect completely tore me apart, I understood it a little too well. As for Donnie Darko I’m still confused. I will be seeing “The Dark knight” next week if I’m not working/studying/sick, like I have been lately. Hi Sung been drifting in tokyo lately?

Not sure I will see Dark Knight, maybe on DVD, dark movies haunt me. Momento sounds good, Guy Pearce is a good actor. I remember thinking he was hot in 1980 something when he played Mike in Neighbours. haha

Nolan is awesome. I just saw The Dark Knight and loved it. What an epic movie. Maybe you could be a villain in the next Batman or else have a role in another Nolan movie. That would make my day.

I love dark movies that haunt me, maybe that’s the dark soul deep inside me. Some bother me more than others, but maybe it’s just the kinda day i’m having. ***buries head in sand***

I love this movie, I am unable to count the number of times I have seen it. This one and Boondock Saints are the two movies I make sure that everyone I meet have seen, therefore I have seen them a lot hehe.
Also, the great thing about watching a movie like this several times, is that you will almost always discover something new in it. Unless you’re some kind of genious or something who catches absolutely everything on the first run..

It’s moustly best movie I’ve ever seen. I like also movies David Lynch.
It’s funny watching movie knowing not everyone understand that. And for you is cleary as a wather.
Understanding it depends of how much opened mind u have.
That is explaning why not everyone can be artist.
