Since I’m pretty sure all of you will be watching history in the making today, I thought I’d share some pictures of his college years that I got from Time.

And one last picture of Mr. Obama gettting some shuteye (hopefully he’ll manage to get some of this tonight, before one of the biggest days in America).

Miracle on the Hudson

Most of you may have heard but there was a plane crash yesterday, yet the good news is that all 155 people survived the crash. Apparently the aircraft struck a flock of geese which took out both engines as the plane was taking off. Then the pilot - Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger - was forced to perform a heroic landing on the Hudson River. Heres some footage from msnbc:

Watchmen!!!

I’m sure many of you have already seen the trailers for Watchmen, but if you haven’t, you can see them here. Here’s a cool behind the scenes video about the making of.

Based on the trailer, it looks like it’ll be one of next year’s biggest movies. It looks pretty badass if you ask me.

On another note, I just read an article over the copyrights of this movie. Apparently, FOX owns the rights to Watchmen. Its kind of a weird situation because FOX has owned the rights for over 20 years. So WB messed up on their end, giving the green light to the movie without making sure they had the rights. Meanwhile, FOX waited until now to claim their copyrights, after the whole movie was made, and all the marketing has hyped it up to be one of the biggest movies of 2009. Hopefully this won’t effect the release or any creative aspects of the movie. And I guess the two studios will just have to share some of the proceeds with each other for what looks to be an awesome movie.

Southern California Wildfires

This last week has been a pretty crazy down here in Southern California. I just wanted to pay tribute for to all the firemen that have been and are still working tirelessly fighting these wildfires. Everyone’s been reporting how perfect the weather was for brewing these wildfires, and how difficult its been to contain them. Luckily, they’re reporting that the Santa Ana winds seemed to have slowed down today, and are helping the firefighters to gain more control of them. As much as we all hate to admit it, these wildfires are always going to be part of life in California. With that said, I know we are all thankful for the firefighters and all their hard-working efforts in battling these wildfires. My prayers go out to all the people that have been affected by these disasters. Heres some images of what they’ve been up against:
